Geographic Concentration
In the mortgage industry investors track and report loans by geographical location. The measure of loans purchased or serviced by geographical location is commonly referred to as geographic concentration. The geographic concentration in conjunction with other performance indicators is used to mitigate the investor's seller and portfolio risk.
